Our Scholarship

The Penn State NYC Chapter is thrilled to open applications for our annual scholarship, designed specifically for incoming first-year students in the Class of 2029! We're looking to support talented students from New York City's five boroughs or Westchester County as you embark on your Penn State journey.

This is a fantastic opportunity to receive financial assistance as you begin your studies at Dear Old State. We encourage all eligible students to apply!

Scholarship applications are due by 11:59 PM on Friday, August 15. Late applications will not be accepted.

We want to get to know the real you! Forget long essays – our application process is designed to let your personality shine through. Get creative and tell us your story with short, engaging videos:

Why Penn State? (2 minutes max): Introduce yourself and share what drew you to Dear Old State. What are you most excited about?
Your High School Journey (2 minutes max): Give us an overview of your high school adventures – the clubs you joined, activities you loved, and how you gave back through volunteer service.
Tell Us More! (1 minute max): This is your chance to share anything else you'd like us to know. What makes you unique?
